3D printing
Price tracks material volume and machine time, with a floor for setup and finishing. Bigger, denser and taller parts cost more; a watertight model prints predictably.
3D scanning
Scanning scales with the size of the object and how much surface has to be covered — a small bracket is quick; a full assembly takes setup, multiple passes and alignment.
Mesh to CAD
This is the most hands-on: cost follows the complexity of the geometry — triangle count, surface area and how many features have to be rebuilt by hand.
