
Reverse Engineering a curved battery holder
This model was developed using a reverse engineering workflow in SolidWorks, where an existing curved battery holder design was analyzed and recreated as a detailed 3D CAD model. The process involved capturing the component’s key dimensions, curved profile, mounting features, and ribbed structure, then rebuilding the geometry using parametric SolidWorks tools. Reverse engineering enables accurate reproduction, design optimization, manufacturability improvements, and the creation of engineering documentation for legacy or custom parts. The resulting model provides a precise digital representation suitable for prototyping, analysis, and production.
